Chapter One Washington State History
Posted in Uncategorized on April 19, 2010 by tylersmrt09In chapter one, the thing that I’ll remember most is the theory of J Harlen Bretz. What I learned is that the scablands in Washington state were created by a series of massive floods. These floods were believed to have been created by the melting of an ice dam, which flooded overnight. This was an important part of our state’s history because the floodlands are a very significant part of our state. It is also a unique sight for tourists coming into the state. This is what I learned from the first chapter in the Washington State History book.
