Chapter One Washington State History

Posted in Uncategorized on April 19, 2010 by tylersmrt09

In chapter one, the thing that I’ll remember most is the theory of J Harlen Bretz. What I learned is that the scablands in Washington state were created by a series of massive floods. These floods were believed to have been created by the melting of an ice dam, which flooded overnight. This was an important part of our state’s history because the floodlands are a very significant part of our state. It is also a unique sight for tourists coming into the state. This is what I learned from the first chapter in the Washington State History book.

Crusades Research Project

Posted in Uncategorized on March 3, 2010 by tylersmrt09

Over the last week, we have been working on a Crusades Research Project. I think i did an OK job on this, but I have lacked some details. If I could redo this project, I would add more detail into my paragraphs. But, some of my paragraphs had some good detail in them, and I thought I did that well. I also like the websites and sources we used. Diigo was very helpful when i was gathering info, and Edmodo helped for when i had a question about the project. But, I didn’t like the Wikispaces much. It was reliable for saving, but I found it difficult to type and insert pictures into my work. Besides that, this project was easy to do and if we did a project like this again, I would want to do it the same way as this time.

First Trimester Letter to Parents

Posted in Uncategorized on November 20, 2009 by tylersmrt09

Dear Mom and Dad,

I did very well in my first trimester of 7th grade. In Math, we did a lot of homework. Besides that, we did accelerated math, vocabulary quizzes and a lot of tests. In Social Studies, we learned about the Medieval Times. We learned about the monarchs, lords, serfs and peasants of a Medievalcity. In Science, we learned about rocks. We learned about thelayers of rocks in the Grand Canyon and much more. And lastly, in Language Arts, we had a lot of work. At the beginning of the year, we had to write a State Writing Assessment. Then, later in the trimester, we started to do Latin packets instead of our normal spelling packets. In conclusion, I learned a lot this trimester and I can’t wait for the next trimester.

Sincerely,                                                                                                   Tyler
